The San Antonio Spurs are now the standalone favorites to win the NBA title at +285, one week into the 2026-27 season. They previously shared the top spot with the Oklahoma City Thunder at +270. OKC has slipped to +380 amid a slew of early-season injuries, including long-term ones to Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace.

The reigning champion New York Knicks have also fallen after a poor start. They dropped from a tie with the Philadelphia 76ers at +900 to a tie with the Boston Celtics at 10-1. Boston improved from 13-1 following a 3-1 start.

Several other teams climbed the championship board during the first week. The Toronto Raptors moved from 25-1 to 15-1, the Minnesota Timberwolves from 25-1 to 16-1, and the Houston Rockets from 35-1 to 16-1.

The much-hyped Miami Heat, led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, have moved in the opposite direction. Their title odds lengthened from 30-1 to 55-1 after they failed to win a game in the season’s first week. Antetokounmpo also dropped from 14-1 to 16-1 on the MVP odds board, which still features Victor Wembanyama at the top at +210.
